The Waterfront Bar & Restaurant, Barton Marina.
The Brief: As part of the development of Barton marina complex, the Waterfront was built as the focal point of the
leisure and recreational areas. Consisting of 4 zones, the bar, the restaurant, the terrace and conference/function facilities, each
area would require independent background music. In the 3 conference/function rooms, projectors and screens would be required with a
wireless microphone lectern that could be moved from room to room. A sound limiting system was also required to set the maximum
threshold that live music could play at.
Outside on the deck, an external connection point would be required.
The Solution: For the Waterfront building Ansabac designed and installed a background music system specific
to the size, shape and acoustics of each area. Speakers were positioned in the most audible, yet discreet locations to maximise
the sound but maintain the aesthetics of the space. Volume controls were added for each area so that music is independently controllable.
For the function facilities, Ansabac installed 2 projectors and screens for presentations to integrate with PC’s. For conferencing
voice reinforcement, a movable lectern was fitted with a wireless microphone so that it could be used in all rooms and the speaker
could be heard.
With live bands using the function rooms for wedding receptions and parties, a Sound Limiting system was installed to limit the
volume the bands could play at in order to for them not to disturb guests in the rest of the building.
Due to the frequent live music acts that perform outside at the waterfront, a fixed external connection point was installed to
that the music could be relayed through the interior speakers.
The Verdict:Being able to offer such advanced and flexible conferencing facilities has meant that the
Waterfront venue appeals to not only business conferencing clients, but as a wedding venue, meeting room, large family
dining room and special event / occasion venue. This has allowed The Waterfront to diversify their client base and increase business.
The Waterfront have been so pleased with the systems and service that Ansabac have since been asked to install the audio equipment for the extension to the Waterfront building.
