Hoar Cross Hall Spa & Resort

The Brief: To design and install a CCTV system to cover the exterior of the building and the grounds consisting of entrances, exits and windows, the car park, landscaped lawned gardens and swimming pool area. All surveillance must be viewed on monitors in a centrally controlled location and images must be recorded for future reference.
Security is of the utmost importance at Hoar Cross Hall to ensure the safety of all staff & clients, their property, vehicles, the building and its contents.

To install new source equipment for the background music in the gym that provides a variety of music. It must be easy to use and robust due to its prolonged daily use.

The Solution: Ansabac conducted an extensive site survey to ascertain the distances involved in covering the entire outside area with CCTV coverage. We were then able to specify the correct cameras for the distance and close up images required. Ansabac specified high-speed external PTZ cameras to cover distance and zoom in on objects. Static cameras with IR were used to cover focused areas. These cameras would give the best possible coverage of the site and clear images on the monitors.
In the pool area, vandal resistant dome cameras were used, not because they were likely to be vandalized, but because they are the most durable in humid, moist environments.

A Promedia music player was installed in the gym to provide a variety of background music styles to enhance the classes conducted. The music player was wired to existing in-ceiling speakers to optimise the acoustic in the room.

The Verdict: The cameras give broad coverage across the site and the ability to zoom in on particular areas on both live and recorded images. This has given staff and clients of Hoar Cross Hall the peace of mind that the site, building and its contents are secure and in the event of an emergency, all areas will be recorded.
