Teamworks Karting: Birmingham, October 2004 & Reading, June 2008
The Brief: To design and install a PA and background music system for an indoor kart racing track in Birmingham.
Both systems must be powerful enough to be audible for racers & staff on the track whilst karts are racing. The facility to play a
variety of music will be needed and staff must be able to fade the music in and out for officials to speak over the tannoy.
Background music will also be required in the bar, offices and changing rooms.
The Solution: Ansabac designed and installed a PA & background music system consisting of 7 wall mounted cabinet speakers covering the track area, linked to the CD player and 2 microphones for music and PA. 4 ceiling speakers were installed in the bar area, with 6 ceiling speakers in the office and changing rooms.
Ansabac cabled and installed the system over 2 days and conducted a complete test of all equipment before hand over. Staff were fully trained so that they felt confident in using the systems.
The Verdict: Teamworks Karting are thrilled with the effectiveness of the installation and four years on, the system still works impeccably.
Being able to address competitors & spectators clearly under noisy conditions has meant that the races run much more smoothly and are much safer.
The sound quality of the background music has made the leisure areas of the stadium much more enjoyable for spectators & competitors and created a fun and
exciting atmosphere for customers and staff alike.
